hello everybody,
I am a student of corporate colleges like narayana and sri chaitanya.
like every other student,i heard a lot about these colleges and planned to join in anyone of them after my high school.They used to call my parents and even used to visit us weekly once,asking me to join their colleges.Another thing they were telling me was that the top rankers in any competative and coaching exams were from their colleges and would help me to get good rank for becoming a engenieer or doctor.
Finally when my parents decided to put me in the college,I had to agree. When I applied for the admission,they gave me a booklet showing the details and features of the college.I noticed many pictures showing people studying and reading.The last page obviously was filled with photos of the toppers along with their ranks and total marks.I thought this is proably a good college to study for my further education.
Unfortunatelly,I was wrong.None of the information i saw in the booklet was true.
On the first day itself of the college I noticed the horrible infrastructure.The teachers could not speak English properly.The maths lecturer was refering a guide while teaching.
There were tests every monday.If anybody fails or gets less marks in those 'unworthy' tests,the lecturers beat and insults the students.They even discourage the students by telling all nonsense like "You will fail in your whole life; You will never succed in your life" and all that crap.
Further,the students who get less marks must stay back after the college.Besides these weekly tests,they even conduct EAMCET and AIEEE exams.I litereally became insane unable to take this stress and preassure.
I even have a friend who stays in residential hostels provided by these corporate colleges.He used to complain about the college facilities whenever I used to talk to him.He complained that the time alloted for sleeping is less and not sufficient;the room is not spacious,the surroundings of the residential hostel are very unclean and unhygienic.Further,he also told that the teachers dont teach properly and beat the students for every small and big reasons.The food that is provided tastes awful.The students get to make a call to their parents or family once a day.The problem is that they dont have anyone to complain about this issue.
The students are not free even on sundays! The students must study or write some tests on sundays.
These corporate colleges are making the lives of many students miserable.
Inspite of knowing all this,the concerned authorities and the board of intermediate is not taking any action against them.
After studying in these colleges,I had the worst experience of my life.My opinion about these colleges is that these colleges work only for money and not for the welfare of the students.The college management divides the students in various "sections" depending upon how they study.The college lecturers give importance and care only for those who study well.They dont care about the weak or dull students or slow learners.They do all sorts of advertising and publicity for making the students or making the parents join their children join their colleges.They even say they give coaching and all for competative exams,but they never teach properly and that becomes a burden to the students.
I therefore advise and suggest all the students who completed their schools not to join these Narayana and Sri Chaitanya colleges for your intermediate.There are many better colleges and 10+2 schools to study and where the teaching facility is better.I also suggest all the parents not to forcably put your child in these colleges.This colleges cause more harm than good for the students life and future.
Remember, always make the right choice in an important descision, you will not get a second chance to make it upright again.

ReplyDeletei saw the booklet given by chaitanya..it had many beautiful hostel pics..and many more..so i have decided to join in chaitanya hostel.
i passed out my 10th with 80%(cbse).i wanted to continue the same board.
but the principal changed my dads mindset.he told that if i would study in state board,i would score more...so my dad without asking me paid the fees for the first yr(11th).
when i went to hostel and when i got the books i gotta know that im in state!
anyway,im into the shit so i have to give my best..no matter what may be the board.
but hostel was hell.
there was nothing...my dad was told that the hostel room is alloted to 4 students..but when i joined there,they alloted 13 students to a single room..it was very small room without ventilation....and with only 2 washrooms!
no proper food,mobiles were not allowed.no freedom.no water too...we had a canteen,whenever i felt hungry,i had to buy samosas from that canteen.but,a single samosa costed 10rs.and the size was so small!due to the junk,i had to suffer from high fever..
there were only 3 phones and had a big Q before each telephone...we cant even talk to parents properly! my dad was tensed,helpless because he was in odisha!
my uncle took me to his home...hats off to my uncle...
then i shifted to day schooler in chaitanya itself...
i was dumped into A4 section only because my floor incharge hated me! A4 consisted of all dunces(actually we are not dunces but college people made us)
they ordered us to sit till 7 o clock(evening)
its my life anyway..so i desperately wanted to take conditions into my hands..
again i bought some books for aieee etc etc.
chaitanya college started at 8 in the morning till 7 in the evening...
can any student study in home after sitting in college? we obviously cant!
we were not even allowed to carry books like TMH to the class rooms!just think how life was!
so i had to give up the thoughts of aieee too!
then...came jan! time to study for IPE atleast..
i have started preparing for IPE..finally came out with 78%......
do u think im a dull head? i dun think so..
but the college people always thought that we were dull heads!
they always degraded us..
they even used to call us for mental counselling!
life was like hell in chaitanya!spoiled everything.....
i took many months to regain trust from my parents!!
really.....................hell it was..those 2 yrs i can never ever forget! they changed everything.....everything means a lot!
i wanna advice one thing..
think twice before taking a step after 10th..
there are many many many options to excel!
so think.....
IIT,AIEEE,EAMCET ETC ETC are not the options.
there are still many.....
so think before you join..
think before you dive into a lake...check its depth! if you wont check the depth,you will die.....or suffer a lot by suffocation!

I really don't see the point why you guys are blaming the institution so much for your failures? It's you who wasted your valuable time abusing the institution instead of studying sincerely. So I don't completely agree with all your points. Yes, the food is bad. What do you expect from the cooks? Dude it's not a restaurant that they will prepare meals for you individually. That's very obvious that if they prepare food in mass, it will not turn out that good. Plus they have a meagre time span of just 3-4 hours to prepare food for 1000 students . So what do U expect? 5-star rated food? It's technically not possible . Now I m not defending them either . I m just laying down the facts. Yes, you get a sleep time of only 6 hours max everyday, 7 hours class, 2 hours counselling , 4 hours self-study. Now,before you signed yourself up for the program you should have known the facts.Dude it's IIT-JEE Preparation. It's one of the toughest exams in the world with over 10 million students appearing for the exam every year and the Seat to Student ratio is 1:1000. And the time schedule that these institutions have is the minimum amount of time a true aspirant has to study for clearing the exam. Toppers study atleast 18 hours a day for getting a top-notch rank trust me.Study is hard, accept it(for aspirants). Laziness is the root to failure. If you are lazy or a slow learner IIT is not your thing. You may wanna join some other course but not this one. It will be a suicide for you.How can you expect good results without working hard? And it is not 100% true that the teachers can't speak English well. Honestly some teachers can't . But mostly they will be the ones who have the knowledge(trust me on this one:they have a master's degree from top notch institutions of the world) but they don't know how to teach. See, knowldege anyone can aquire. But teaching comes with experience . And I don't have any clue on why some teachers can't speak English even though they did their master's abroad. And in here everyone doesn't get the same level of education to be honest. Students are alloted sections based on their intelligence(based on % scored in boards) and regular test series and shuffling of the students happen to ensure that only the top students get the top section known as the SPARK batch. SPARK students get to learn for the top notch teachers and they do know how to speak English well and they do know how to teach too. And you really don't wanna test their intelligence . They can literally solve their respective subject paper in IIT in 30-45 mins .(total time on each paper is 1 hour). That's how qualified they are . No wonder they get paid More than 300,000 a month. I was in the spark batch of Sri Chaitanya, Vizag(2011 batch). And I still owe them for the kind of education they gave me. Now I am a civil engineering graduate from NIT,Trichy. It's one of the country's top 10 engg. Institutions . If it wouldn't have been for them, I wouldn't have cracked the impossible . Plus it costed me sleepless nights and hard study , but it was worth it. As for the slow learners, if you had the zeal. Still you could've cracked it.,,coz you would have worked hard instead of bragging and whining about the system. And disprove me if you can.This is the education system that every coaching institue in INDIA follows. Coz it has to be tough as cracking IIT itself is. So If you are not a true aspirant,then embracing it without even knowing what you are up for is a suicide. As a conclusion I would like to say that joining Chaitanya ,Narayana is worth it if you are a true aspirant. These coaching Giants are full of resource . If you grab it when you can, getting a seat is not far away from you.
DeleteBooks are not everything and neither is just studying forever!! there is also a world beyond study people who study for 18 hours a day studying but they isolate themselves from the soceity!I do Agree that IIT is one of the worlds toughest examination but physical fitness is neccesary too !! if a person is fit physically he is fit mentally too instead of studying for 18 hours he can do the same thing within 11 hours max! if he sleeps well instead of just muggin up the syllabus the person needs to understand it and marks and rank is not everything what a person learns and understands throughout and how he can remember and utilize his studies practically throughout his life in his field of work Matters! I'm Sorry to say this but because people have the same thoughts as you the country is losing its geniuses and their Talents are recognised in the foreign and their countries benefit from this!

DeleteStudies is about using brains(even though formulae have to be mugged up) and not about mugging. Whereas in many branches of these corporate colleges ppl are forced to mug up concepts also.
i completed my class 10 from a cbse school and iam looking for a cbse school in guntur having +1 and +2.....my parents would allow me to stay in hostel if the school is atleast in vijayawada....there is only one cbse school in guntur having 11 and 12 ..plz help me..if u can mail me at hifiever@gmail.com....plzzzz help or else i will have to join in either of these colleges.

I agree with above. Apart from all these they are running the institutions in the name of trusts and societies.and they dont pay single rupee as tax. They are making all the black money in the name of society. Are they realy doing the service. I didnt think so. They are fucking india and our politicians suport them by giving all the approvels. Sri chaitanya is a horrible college.I hate it when they divide us into sections and the way they look down on the students who according to them are good for nothing is horrible.Every few days I hear that a student from Sri chaitanya or Narayana has committed suicide.I myself am so fed up of this college. I have stopped working hard now I don't find the motivation to study n I was a good student I scored 88% in my boards n I'm from icse.I scored 85% in my first year and that was only because I was absent for 2 months that I was able to survive.The timings are also very bad and nobody should have to sit in college for so long.Word of advice to everyone out there please think about this before joining these colleges.

The host bodies(Carriers of viral or bacterial infection) of this syndrome are- one SRI CHAITANYA and the other NARAYANA. These host bodie originated from the state An*ra Pr**esh where the syndrome is most abundant.
Now what are the symptoms of this syndrome, well there are many,
When it comes to the students of Sri Chaitanya & Narayana...
1.student's thinking ability retards.
2.When he/she tops the ranks in the class even if by cheating(copying, mugging up.etc..)(That's what most of these students do) will become proud of his rank and begins jumping as if he/she solved all questions in exam by his/her own.

1.'all of you learn(mugg up) only ""IMPORTANT QUESTIONS", don't read the whole chapter, it's of no use, its a waste of time...' This is what the lecturer say and order the students to do.
2.If you are a boy/girl you are not allowed to talk with a girl/boy.(they think it affects your studies).
3. They have a dead line(Usually 6 months before the board exams) to complete the syllabus, if it's some chapters are not completed before the dead line they simply skip them, and bark with pride that they completed the syllabus before other colleges do...[my physics lecturer skipped 2-3 chapters].
4.Neglete basic amenities.
5.No room for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
6.No facility and interest towards SPORTS.
5.they have a lust to open branches all across India, spoil the entire nation :-(.
6.you are not allowed to enjoy(normal enjoyment), talk inside the college, If you do so they will insult you, scold you, and sometimes (for some students most of the times) slap you(usually very hardly) beat you up.
7. their academic system really sucks to the core. It is departure from real education.
8.they neglect subjects like languages, computer science etc.. at the early months and keep special classes on SUNDAYS & other PUBLIC HOLIDAYS to complete the syllabus of these subjects.
7. when you ask questions to the lecturers which are not there in the syllabus they give a "Why do you need to know all these" expression
Well then what's the cure for this syndrome...There's only one, BAN THESE COLLEGES.

I live in a city where we're asked to learn dimensional formula in Physics and simple acid-base chemical reactions, mathematical formulae byheart without having the slightest idea as to which chapter or what is implication of the formula is, in theory or in real life.
( What on earth is a hyperbolic function?? we spent 3 weeks studying Hyperbolic trigonometric functions and I still don't know what the 'h' stands for.)

I live in Hyderabad and have had the luxurious opportunity to have a first hand experience in absolutely horrendous, filthy, dirty, corrupted, disgusting institutions such as Sri Chaitanya and Narayana. The campus is small and dirty. Sports? Non-existent. Teachers are extremely arrogant and beat up cildren for small reasons.
Most of the students themselves behave as illiterate hullers lacking basic common sense and respect for others.
They divide students into diferent classes according to their marks least bother about the weaker students. Anyway, I deviate too much..

Fortunately, I belong to an I.C.S.E background where we were taught shaksepeare and poetry from 9th grade onwards. But, as my parents were forcing me to pursue C.B.S.E, I had to give up the idea of my I.S.C dreams. :( But all of us in our family now regret the decision.
During an interview, people wont bother much about how many marks you get, what is more important is how you present yourself and how effectively or efficiently you can communicate with people.
I really don't see the point why you guys are blaming the institution so much for your failures? It's you who wasted your valuable time abusing the institution instead of studying sincerely. So I don't completely agree with all your points. Yes, the food is bad. What do you expect from the cooks? Dude it's not a restaurant that they will prepare meals for you individually. That's very obvious that if they prepare food in mass, it will not turn out that good. Plus they have a meagre time span of just 3-4 hours to prepare food for 1000 students . So what do U expect? 5-star rated food? It's technically not possible . Now I m not defending them either . I m just laying down the facts. Yes, you get a sleep time of only 6 hours max everyday, 7 hours class, 2 hours counselling , 4 hours self-study. Now,before you signed yourself up for the program you should have known the facts.Dude it's IIT-JEE Preparation. It's one of the toughest exams in the world with over 10 million students appearing for the exam every year and the Seat to Student ratio is 1:1000. And the time schedule that these institutions have is the minimum amount of time a true aspirant has to study for clearing the exam. Toppers study atleast 18 hours a day for getting a top-notch rank trust me.Study is hard, accept it(for aspirants). Laziness is the root to failure. If you are lazy or a slow learner IIT is not your thing. You may wanna join some other course but not this one. It will be a suicide for you.How can you expect good results without working hard? And it is not 100% true that the teachers can't speak English well. Honestly some teachers can't . But mostly they will be the ones who have the knowledge(trust me on this one:they have a master's degree from top notch institutions of the world) but they don't know how to teach. See, knowldege anyone can aquire. But teaching comes with experience . And I don't have any clue on why some teachers can't speak English even though they did their master's abroad. And in here everyone doesn't get the same level of education to be honest. Students are alloted sections based on their intelligence(based on % scored in boards) and regular test series and shuffling of the students happen to ensure that only the top students get the top section known as the SPARK batch. SPARK students get to learn for the top notch teachers and they do know how to speak English well and they do know how to teach too. And you really don't wanna test their intelligence . They can literally solve their respective subject paper in IIT in 30-45 mins .(total time on each paper is 1 hour). That's how qualified they are . No wonder they get paid More than 300,000 a month. I was in the spark batch of Sri Chaitanya, Vizag(2011 batch). And I still owe them for the kind of education they gave me. Now I am a civil engineering graduate from NIT,Trichy. It's one of the country's top 10 engg. Institutions . If it wouldn't have been for them, I wouldn't have cracked the impossible . Plus it costed me sleepless nights and hard study , but it was worth it. As for the slow learners, if you had the zeal. Still you could've cracked it.,,coz you would have worked hard instead of bragging and whining about the system. And disprove me if you can.This is the education system that every coaching institue in INDIA follows. Coz it has to be tough as cracking IIT itself is. So If you are not a true aspirant,then embracing it without even knowing what you are up for is a suicide. As a conclusion I would like to say that joining Chaitanya ,Narayana is worth it if you are a true aspirant. These coaching Giants are full of resource . If you grab it when you can, getting a seat is not far away from you.

DeleteI wish I could really do something about this it's still April,it not a week since my 10boards finished that my mom has put me in Sri Chaitanya College already ..I don't want to go I have no interest in engineering ..I don't want to write IIT or CET ...but she thinks she is right and when I talk about this she brings up it hot stuff and asks me to stay at home instead since she thinks I don't want to go to Sri Chaitanya bcoz I want to enjoy college ..as far as study is concerned I am ready to work hard but not die hard at it and seperate my self from activites ..if my college is 7to8pm when am I going to spend time in self building study is not the only important thing ..I want other activities which is not possible in Sri Chaitanya College I fucking wish I can do something about it ohh god I feel like giving up my life

I Agree with all of that.If You are a CBSE Student then NEVER Join Chaitanya or narayana because they are state boaard corporate collages they are not under the CBSE Control and do what ever they like.They have huge marketing campaign and tell all lies to parents they will show u impossible makrs and numbers.....but to be true these colleges are living hell let me sum up about the day boarding

2.OVER LOADED & CRAMMED-They will first put you in a good class room and will treat you well for 1week[untill the admission fees is paid] then they show there real colors 60-80 Students in a small room which can only hold 30-40 Students .BROKEN Toilets,Filthy rooms,broken benches/blackboards
3.DUMB LECTURES-Only the senior lectures know english other than that every one else [ie,Junior lectures/coordinators/staff] are big fools they dont speak anything else than telugu.they make tons of mistakes,they refer guides while teaching.As they are not properly trained and have NO EXPERIENCE they ABUSE YOU,THEY PUNISH YOU & Degrade your self-confidence
3.YOU DONT LEARN ANYTHING-Seriously they will give you So called study material and you will have to memorize it{juice it and drink it} and will have to write exactly whats in the materials if you dont you will FAIL as even the people who will correct you papers in the boards are theres dumb Junior lectures Only.
4.IMPOSSIBLE DEMANDS-At first they will leave you early but as the fees is paid they will make you come at 7 or 8 In the morning and will make you wit till 7 in the eveing..12 HOURS CLASSES NO SPORTS NO NOTHING ONLY SIT AND MEMORIZE
5.NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU if you dont get good marks in weekly tests.If you get low maks in weekly tests they will throw you in a lower sections will dullers who will degrade further.ONLY THE TOPPERS ARE TREATED LIKE KINGS others students are only seen as a source of income.

They never spoke english during their schooling in Andhra, they spoke (and speak) only telgu in Andhra. As a conclusion I would like to say that joining Chaitanya ,Narayana is worth it if you are a true aspirant. These coaching Giants are full of resource . If you grab it when you can, getting a seat is not far away from you.

Well!I agree to this. the teachers don't speak English.even if they speak it is more horrible than butler English.I faced many problems in chaitanya.classrooms are near enough and they allotted playroom for9th medicon class.rats roam in the room.inspire of repeated complaining the principal is careless.the room literally stinked like fish market.the lockers given are also spoiled one's and rats go into them.bite the books.it twice ate cockroaches which were brought for anatomy.most important thing is that they leak the question papers for sa1 and sa2 till 9th as I saw till now.I hav no idea about 10th.the teachers discourage a lot that we get scared about subject and lose all interest in it.and it is also that all teachers are notlike that some teachers are really good,caring,friendlyetc. ...though the maintenance and all is worse it is a thing to agree that most of the top tankers are from chaitanya and narayana.I don't say that other collages are bad I am just telling about majority.they make us work really very hard but finally when we achieve our goal we will never think bad about the institution.we feel very grateful to it for giving a bright future.and one more thing joining there in 8th class is better.early joining spoils ur English speaking skills

ReplyDeleteyes friends..ur exactly correct.this is wt heppened in my case too.i was an excellent student till 10th.i received my school level level education in DAV and came out with 10gp grade.my parents gave me a chance to select a college for +2.i selected a DAV branch in bhuveneshwar.but one day a worker from sri chaitanya came to me and asked me to admit in their colleges.i was motivated by them and admotted in vishnu towers campus(vishakapatnam).the infrastructure of the college was worst and none of the lecture can speak english well.i can't even understand what they r explaining.a suicide letter from my classmate attempt from my friend disturbed me a lot.now my academic performence is worst.i'm mentally depressed.i have to consult a psychiatrist and get back to the same college to continue my intermediate 2nd year course there..

ReplyDeleteit isn't a matter of pointing the wrong side of the school. i am a student of m batch and I am getting a very good coaching for our medical entrances.I have gained a lot of knowledge and have identified the true myself. I am sure that I will succeed my goal if I study in this school.
ReplyDeleteHere no one is pointing wrong side of the school. I am a victim of Sri chaitanya brand and suffered so much with my daughter. My daughter joined them in Year6 and based on her academic excellence, they convinced us to join her in their hostel from Year 7. Soon after a month or 2 months she was so depressed due to poor instruction rom the teachers i.e. they started explaining in local language and my daughter couldn't understand anything and she got demoted to lower section and on top of that, if she asks doubts during study hours, teachers use to tell her'anyways you don't understand quickly', you just memorise no need of understanding the whole concept.
ReplyDeleteSomehow she completed her Year 7 and we pulled her out form that school....she has very good presentation skills, she is good in art, poetry and singing...whole year she never participated in any of the activities , just because she is in excellence batch...if she participates even in a single one, her study time will go waste....
Not every student is the same. everyone they have their own skils from absorbing the lesson content to present the concept, but these people never encourage or appreciate the student for their performances, they appreciate only when they topped the class...what about the other children? they never explain a student who can better with some support....all they look for mug up and vomit how they want....
On a stronger note, even we did not believe when our daughter says, i'm demotivating myself with this school. I'm really thankful to one of the teacher in that school, who observed my daughter , because he taught one of the main subject, explained me this is not the right choice for her...don't think if she is here, she can get into IIT.

I agree with the above comments. Government should ban these corporate schools and colleges who are creating lot of pressure on students and tension to students. If these guys are really doing good, why they should go for door to door campaign where teachers face a lot of insult and mental pressure to protect their job?

Sir in vizag there is one iilegal college at carshed. This college was very wrost and timing also very worst from morning 8:00 to evening 7:30. Sir who will stay that much time in the college every one have some work in their life. If we stay that much time in the college then what about our other dreams.so the college name is narayana college carshed which is new college and also illegeal.plz stop the college.

ReplyDeleteWorst teachers, money minded management. They try to extract money as much as possible . No concern towards their students at all . The ground is made of pavement blocks and cement . They expect kids to play on a cement ground . Very careless staff and no first-aid available at the time of an emergency. The AGM is very insensitive and very money minded , she cares only about money , provides no motivation . She comes once in a while (only to ask money for some or the other thing)
We literally had classes when construction work was going on in the same building.For two months or so the stairs had no railings up till the third floor .They had kept pots instead of railings . The washrooms are horrible. At the end of your 10th they force you to pay money to book a seat for the college , they say that the money is refundable at any time (in writing)
Please donot fall for this , they never pay the money back!
The main reason im writing this review after a year i've passed out from this school is that ,This school's irresponsibility has caused my friends life!
YES ,THEY TOOK MY FRIENDS LIFE!
They did not have proper first-aid to save him and for gods sake they conducted a PE practical on a cement ground!
I was quiet all this time just because i had some teachers in the school who had some real concern about the students (I did not want to cause them trouble)
Now this is too much!
Please if you really care about your child donot admit them here!
